I agree. The only flaw for me is that the dpad kind of hurts to use after 30 mins. I've never had the issue with the unintended inputs that everyone else seems to have.

8bitdo's repro controllers all work with the switch and some have solid dpads
i've heard some reports that their dpads are oversensitive as well but my sfc30's works perfectly fine (or at least much better than the pure garbage that is the pro controller's dpad)

Already used in the Gamecube and arguably started with the Dreamcast placing the left stick up there

Sony is literally the only one staying behind with those center sticks. Heck, even 3rd party Sony controllers use different layouts. Although admittedly it's not as bad as it used to be, i tried a DS4 and noticed the stretched it out horizontally which makes reaching the sticks less awkward
