Namco needs to get their shit together when it comes to the movie this December, the problem the Klonoa series has had since day one (here in America at least) was that advertisements were next to none. I can recall only one magazine ad for the first game on the PS1 and none for this game. Please, Namco, you have the money to get this popular like you did with Tekken, I know you can do it.

It's a nice alternative if you can't get the original on the PS Store (because buying a physical version of the original game WILL cost you a pretty penny). I believe a challenge mode was added that the original release didn't have (but I could be wrong on this), it also has a gallery to view the various monsters in the game and you change Klonoa outfit, pulse the obvious updated graphics.

It's actually a bit of a downgrade. It's nice that the graphics are more consistent, but it's obviously been done very cheaply, and the FMVs have been re-done as in-engine cutscenes that are animated very dully. I remember thinking that the voice acting was worse, particularly Joka's, and the terrible English voice track that's offered as an option would be sacrilege even if it was done well. To top it all off, there are almost no extras. I think there's one extra challenge stage, and you get a couple of costumes and a mirrored mode, but that's it.

It's not a terrible alternative, but I still think the PSX version is better.
