Are you enjoying your Switch /v/?
>>387804742
Love it.
>>387804742
not anymore.
But my 8y old Brother is having fun with zelda.
Yeah.
Still playing Sonic Mania right now. I've gotten the good ending with Sonic, and I've gotten all the blue sphere medals. Now I'm doing a Knuckles playthrough.
>>387804742
Using it more than my ps4, multiplayer games are really making it worth it's price.
give me fuckin VC it would be the greatest console ever made jesus CHRIST
BotW turned out to be a mediocre meme game but I'm enjoying Mario Kart 8.
The library is pretty fucking lackluster. Nothing but indieshit and ports - and even ports are pretty rare.
>>387804742
Been playing Splatoon 2. S rank is better now but you still come across some noobs with few kills. Gonna take a break until the splatfest.
>>387806836
yeah this is where i'm at. really curious to see where it'll be at a year in
>>387804742
Having Splatoon league battles with my friends every other night is a blast
In 3 days I will, any game suggestions other than splatoon, mk8d, sonic mania, puyo puyo tetris and fast rmx?
>>387807940
Did you get Arms or 12Switch? If you ever have a board game night they're a fun distraction while you wait for everyone to show up.
Played MK8 on a boat in Greece with my sisters boyfriend.
Shit was pretty cash, screen is tiny though Ninty needs to release an xl version
I've got MK8 for when I have friends over but I think we might get bored of that eventually. Are there any other good party games? Is 12Switch remotely worth it?
>All those devs who canceled their WiiU ports of games to make more money on Switch
>Because of Apple there won't be enough Switches to even outsell the WiiU this year
>There making ports for an even smaller audience because they didn't want to make a prot for a small audience
My. Fucking. Sides.
>People who have it love it
>Selling amazing
>Sales for first and third party software have been fantastic
>Big third parties like Capcom and SE are still incredibly reluctant to support it
I don't get it
>>387804742
As soon as Nintendo will let me buy one.
The console itself is a piece of shit, but I like the games on it.
>USPS is down so I have no clue if they're going to deliver it today or not
>>387808379
yamuachi's actions during the SNES and N64 permanently fucked Nintendo's relations with 3rd parties
No. It's garbage.
>>387808229
1, 2, Switch is literally Wario Ware
I just ordered one in Sweden, it seems pretty unpopular here because it's in stock everywhere.
Ordered the Splatoon 2 bundle, a pro controller, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
>>387804742
I wanna fuck that controller.
>>387808749
Why would you let your child do that?!
>>387809209
Because you wanted a football player and got a daughter into gymnastics but can't afford to start over with the first one still in the picture
>>387804742
>no games
>2 hours battery
>instant scratch for any slight contact
>>387809839
How make believe land, anon?
I'm actually having a ton of fun with it. I have more than 100 hours in splatoon and 50 hours in zelda, and I'm not even close to done with either of them. I also just started playing has-been heroes, which takes a little getting used to and has some definite smdesign problems, but I'll definitely be playing it when I don't feel like playing the first two.
>>387808749
Source?
>>387808379
>I don't get it
Because if you'd actually analyze the things you've claimed, you'd realize most of them aren't true.
"Selling amazing" means what? It's still only sold 1.5 million in Japan. Yes, it's sold out. But 1.5 million is nothing. Wii U and PS4 are/were doing extremely poorly in Japan and they have several times more sold than that.
Sales for first party software being good can be expected, but what about 3rd party? Capcom has made some claims about USF2 but that's in the context of a remaster of a 16-bit game, something that's hard to imagine selling well at all. In that context, 100k sales might be phenomenal, but that was also during a time when there was very little else to play on the Switch. The more 1st party games come out, the more poorly 3rd party games are likely to do, because that's what happens to 3rd party games on Nintendo hardware
Switch is still completely undemonstrated when it comes to both consumer adoption and 3rd party attach rates. It's going to be hard to port real 8th gen titles to because it's underpowered, which means 3rd parties are unlikely to experiment with anything other than quick and dirty 7th gen ports, until the system has sold at least 20 million or so and shows no signs of stopping
>>387808749
>Ohhhh mama mia!
>red joycon randomly stopped working
>system froze and wouldn't shut off for awhile
it's cool but also a piece of shit.
>>387810609
>Wii U and PS4 are/were doing extremely poorly in Japan and they have several times more sold than that.
Switch is far beyond what Wii U and PS4 sold in the same time span.
>>387808550
The idea for a console that you can both play on the tv and play on the go is very good idea and I use both of them. But the problem that it is a powerful handheld, but a weak home console.
If only the Switch was on the power between xbox one and ps4 and you still could play it on the go.
>>387810886
>Switch is far beyond what Wii U and PS4 sold in the same time span.
It is. But that's still nothing. You can't expect 3rd parties thinking 1.5 million is a huge userbase. If good 3rd party support ever comes it likely won't be until 2 years from now where games that start development now start being released
>>387811520
The console, its UI, and online features aren't quite there. If it wasn't for Splatoon, I wouldn't have bought one at all.
>>387811536
It doesnt take 2 years to port games or make them multiplat.
Look at Megaman Legacy Collection 2 for example. There isn't a single reason that couldn't and shouldn't have been put on Switch where it most definitely would have done well.
I'm liking it but went in knowing it could be another WiiU (which I never owned). The games I have bought were all good. Didn't play the first Splatoon but am surprised with how good the second one is. Played the ARMs test fire but never ended picking it up, figured I'd see if the updates added enough to make it worth the price to me.
>>387808379
Because it's by far the weakest system, most devs have to go back to making stuff at the level of last gen just to get it to work on the switch at all.
>>387811697
Are you really complaining about lack of a rom bundle
>>387811520
As for the first bit; The PSP did that first and that didn't turn out so well.
And the second; not even remotely possible
already played with it more than any recent console
>>387809839
everything untrue
>>387808092
>board game night
>>387808749
Everytime I see this gif I hear the gmod ragdoll sounds
>>387804742
Mine's starting to creek at the bottom left hand corner where the barcode is. Should I be worried?
>When I have a shitload of money I can't find a switch anywhere
>Just so happen to go into a Target with 3 gray switches in stock when I'm a few hundred short inbetween paychecks
Even IRL I still get fucked by RNG
>>387813129
Under what conditions does it "creek"?
>>387811536
>But that's still nothing
No, it's obviously not. It took companies by surprise so they weren't ready for it. If they go back you can bet your ass they would have games ready for it at launch year.
>>387804742
It's still a bit of a mixed bag for me. I'm loving the heck out of Splatoon 2, and I enjoyed ARMS for a bit. I recently completed Sonic Mania a couple of times while waiting for my CE to come in.
I thought I'd be spending all of my time playing Breath of the Wild, but the game feels so contrived and derivative. I don't see how this game would appeal to any Zelda fan who hasn't already been predisposed to open world shit. It has its moments, but weapon degradation, weak enemy variety, shrines, and the main dungeons are so fucking lame.
Switch is alright I guess.
>>387813184
when I press by that area
Loving it so far! Splq2n and Puyo Puyo Tetris are my most played games.
BotW was nice too, and so was MK8. Mania is a great nostalgiabait game.
All I need now is a proper RPG and I'm set.
>>387804742
I haven't touched it yet.
Sonic Mania might be worth a purchase, but after that, what is there? Puyo Puyo Tetris?
Most of the big sellers are just Wii U ports or offer nothing good enough to interest me. I'm not even sure if I want my Switch right now, as Nintendo really burned me last generation.
WHERE THE GAMES AT?
>>387814057
>splat 2
>wii u port
>>387813306
If it's just the frame I wouldn't worry
If it's the fan or something that's something to worry about
>>387814310
I'm sorry, but the Switch doesn't have any games bundled in. You actually have to buy them.
>>387814835
Switch's entire eShop is about the size of a humble bundle beat the average
>>387815361
Nice lie
>>387804742
Its a great Sonic Mania machine.
>>387804742
kind of getting bored of arms and splatoon 2
It gets games announced but they are never even close to coming out.
I've beat Sanic like 10 times now and there's nothing for weeks
No I'm not.
I have not bought anything since Snake Pass.
I own Zelda and Snake Pass. The re-releases are too expensive to justify and the "new" games are over priced for what they are. I can't justify spending more money than I have already spent on the console, Zelda and the pro controller. The e-shop prices are fucking stupid.
So no my Switch sits in its stupid fucking charging cradle and does fucking nothing. Pretty sure I had more games at this point for the WiiU.
I wanted one for Xenoblade 2 and Zelda but since the trailers I haven't been that interested in it, might just get Zelda for the wii u and forget about Xeno 2
>>387816971
>Buys system
>Too cheap to buy games for it
At least get Gonner or the Slime girl game
>>387817392
Already own Gonner for PC. Whats the Slime Girl game?

Ye
>>387804742
Yes, with botw.
Looking forward to playing future switch exclusives. PC is still my main, though.
If only I could go back to full NEET status and sit in my room all day.
I love how quick it takes to get into a game or to open up the eshop or settings. It took a ridiculously long time on the Wii U. And I'm glad they got rid of the Wii aesthetics, that shit got really old. Also portable mode is really nice for some games, I've been playing Sonic Mania pretty much exclusively in it and it's great.
>>387804742
I might get it for christmas or next summer. Who knows maybe this time next year the price will go down and there would be a "'New' 3d XL Switchi Lite color" announced
>Kart
>Sonic
>Tetris
I've spent ...$472 so far..........
>>387804742
Damn straight
>>387819641
It's quick because there's nothing on the eshop to load
>>387804742
Yes
>>387818096
>All that plastic shit on the Joycons
>stickers on the console
So did you already come out to your parents or are you still in the closet
>>387806302
Why is the RWBY chick flashing her panties?
>>387806836
You're complaining about ports but I want more fucking ports. So many games I would love to have on the go now.
>>387804742
meh it's ok I guess. Needs more games
>>387823659
I want ports of wii/wiiu games I never got to play.
No More Heroes 1+2
Bayonetta 2
Wonderful 101
Skyward Sword Remade with non-motion controls
The Last Story
Xenoblade Chronicles + X
>>387825062
I'm playing through the first Xenoblade right now, and if there's any game thay would benefit from better hardware, it's that. That game SHOULD be a looker, but it isn't.
