The 3DS continues to sell more games from more companies than Playstation does. And that goes without saying that the Switch has stolen all of PS4's thunder.

1. ESRB, PEGI and CERO have no influence on games in this platform so developers are free to put any content they want in it without having to worry about age rating fucking with their sales

2. Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft don't permit adult games on their platforms and most stores refuse to sell them

3. People are learning that consoles are just holding back the true potential of video games

4. Cryptocurrency craze

5. The platform itself doesn't force you to pay for subscriptions required to play online

6. PC hardware lasts you longer. If you at least have a 750ti (on par with the base PS4) right now, you don't need to upgrade to a whole new system just to play new games "reasonably" for the next 10 years or so while consoles will eventually be replaced in under 7.
