Why? They're the measuring stick. Our normal.
Dwarfs aren't strong because they're strong, they're strong because they're stronger than us. If you get what I am saying. If you was to re-evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of humans you'd just make a mess of a relative strengths and weaknesses of everyone else.

Besides if you're to go down that route then elves should simply be flat out superior in every aspect and humans would be inferior to most of everyone else.

The best choice. Anything else is either subhuman or downright heretical.

The worst fucking choice. Annihilate all traces of them if possible and anything you cannot annihilate, enslave and torture. The only good elf is a fucking dead elf, in my opinion, but they have their uses. Such as- Cleaning toilets, tilling fields, and painting my boots red.

Surprisingly, not the second worst. Half-elves, in the best of cases, means that they are half-humans, which means that they have some redeeming quality to them, and in some situations can prove their humanity and overcome their elven lineage. Often born from slavery, it makes me happy to see these ones break free and become hard working members of the lower classes, with the occasional one striking it rich.

Not a bad race. Poor warriors, fantastic burglars and archers. Would take on a journey, but wouldn't take to a war. Very peaceful, usually. Usually middle class, as they tend to be excellent hosts and run fantastic taverns and hostels.
>pixie-fairy
Ah, the fairies. At best, they're good companions to have in small quantities providing that magic boost that a mostly grounded in physical abiltiy that mythical boost to put them into legendary status. At worst, they're annoying cunts who fly around and shit glitter everywhere. Watch them closely.
>dwarf
Second best choice. Closely related to humanity, they used to be subjugated by them, but managed to fight back and win their freedom, and then became partners with them. Very industrious sort, but often overcomplicate things. Instead of simply cutting the head off of an elf, for example, they'll build an entire arena for them to start a civilization in, then fill it with lava. Puts them on good terms with me, at least.

Bird folk are alright. A bit arrogant, but relatively weak in combat. Make amazing scouts, though, and the stronger of them are nice to have in a pinch for some otherwise impossible tasks of flattery.
