Honestly, Genji mains are ubiquitous to the point that most people already know how to deal when one's in play, Winston is a pretty reliable presence, and 80% of the time they're so uncoordinated they'll get slaughtered the second their deflect is on cooldown.

Honestly, I see enough games where it might as well be 5 vs 5 give or take two guys trying to show off their "I need healing's" per second. If Genji's a threat, then the rest of the team is a threat.

There's been some sensational high level use of Pharmercy with Doomfist to shut down dive, since none of the usual 4(Tracer, DVa, Winston, Lucio) and the other accessories like Genji et al. can stand up to that kind of high singular damage output.

In any other situation, Pharah is still a pretty democratized hero since she has no retard-proof abilities and every advantage gives her a new weakness(e.g. vertical mobility takes her out of the protection of tanks). It's probably why she's been untouched for so long.

Pharah and Mercy are only so dominant when nobody is coordinated enough to take on what is functionally two players in a 6-man team communicating.

The game has lots of issues but I wouldn't split hairs over those. Months ago, Ana was fueling the Beyblade meta and the triple tank meta. Lord knows they'll do something bizarre and defense heroes will be high tier.

Ranked players take themselves so seriously it's almost autistic and unranked is a nightmare if you actually want to play with solid comps and not dick around all game. The only time anyone brings up medals is when they want to hate on their teammates. Everyone fucking acts like it's reasonable to expect themselves and their teammates to be able to outperform an enemy team composed in exactly the same way as they were 100% of the time in a game that clearly wants its players to invest hundred, if not thousands of hours. they do, but there is merit in disliking OW. I think it's a good team-based game, but for anyone without a good team to play with it is not fun. Tanks and to a lesser degree supports are not very fun to play so with randoms you never see them, which to me is understandable. And the meta shifts all the time, and thanks to the counter-pick nature they TRIED to go with for the game you're probably gonna have a bad time if you don't follow the meta to at least some degree.

I get that you would want them to do a short about Road and Junk that ain't comedy and they are, check again in Thursday but if there are two heros in the game that fit the role for it it's these two.

Actually it's quite the opposite. I was told I've hit a point in quickplay where the top 1% or whatever players only play.

So I wait 3+ minutes each time to play a game full of gms and top500s who only want to play Widow, Hanzo, Tracer, Genji and McCree every time. Actually gotten to the point where I recognise players every match, like it's a community server.

Nonetheless I'm done with this game.
