That's 1 cancellation and 3 delays in a single year. Why would I spend $500 on a console that has no games both currently, in regard to its back catalogue and going forward? On top of that, anything that does release on Xbox is also available to me on PC.

Look at this with the future in mind: Microsoft is moving towards basing the Xbox brand around services. Gamepass and Live are their money makers while (mediocre) exclusives like ReCore, Quantum Break and Sunset Overdrive failed to perform. They'll continue to pump out Halo, Gears and Forza riddled with microtransactions while investing the bare minimum into other IP.

There are also the factors of owning a 4k TV to get the most out of the console, something only a small percentage of people have. There's also the fact that many of the games on the X aren't native 4k and most AAA titles will not be able to hit 60 FPS. I'm not seeing the "power."

Don't be dumb. Microsoft is stuck in 2013's resolution war when people have long since moved on and Xbox has been solidified as the lesser platform. Xbox only has four first-party studios to its name all being single IP development teams. Since Phil has taken over as head of Xbox, at least 4 studios have been shut down with zero investment into new ones. The man in charge of Xbox is so convinced that he has a masterpiece on his hands that he's even attempting to release ReCore a second time just a year after its initial release. That's horrifying for Xbox.

Do yourselves a favor and either buy a PS4, build a PC or at least don't waste your money and just get the Xbox One S.

The best options are still a PS4 (for non-PC multiplats and Sony exlusives) or a PC (for multiplats, PC exlusives, and literally 95% of Xbone's library, including previous exclusives that turned into PC multiplats).

Did you live under a rock during the second half of last gen? Every problem you have with the Xbone was already true about the 360 after its mid-point. If you didn't see it coming before XBone was released I don't know what to tell you.

-360 had no exclusives
-360 had no japanese support
-360 had no variety of games (it was a western shooter sausage fest and Kinect trash)
-360 lived off of 3rd party temporary exclusivity deals and nothing else

t. 360 owner. Looking back I don't regret not owning a PS3 because plenty of its games got ported to PS4 so I can enjoy them now, and Halo was still great on the 360 (except for H4) so I had fun. But it objectively was a mediocre system, if I like japanese games back then nearly as much as I love them now I'd be a very sad man.

I would honestly buy it if they didn't decided to port all their exclusives to PC.

I don't even play them on PC, the MS store is shit, the online is empty and shooters have no cross play because of mouse vs gamepad.

I mean I would probably play Halo 5, Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3 and much on the Xbone, but since they decided to port them to PC I can't justify buying a console for that, and I'm still not playing them.

My nephew has an Xbone hooked up to a 720p TV. It makes the image really sharp and jaggy but also blurry at the same time. Kinda like when some people still had low res CRT displays with Xbox 360 or PS3. Just be sure to set the output to 720 and you'll probably be fine
