I really enjoyed melee for what it's worth, but brawl seems to be it's superior in many ways, including the dank cutscenes, which were good for it's time.

Amazing, my favorite fighting game of all time. I can't really believe it gets so much hate on /v/. Its so technical and amazingly high skill cap. The highest level players make the game look like fucking art. Mango's falco is so amazing to watch.

I truly don't understand how this game can get the hate it does on here aside from /v/ being mostly teens who simple don't get it.

Brawl and Smash4 are a joke comparatively and I think a lot of younger players who played those games and not melee are the reason for the hate. Melee has a VERY steep learning curve, and kids today have no chance to catch up to people who have played for 10-15 years.

I have to admit though, I enjoy Project M much more. I loved the idea of patches and balance updates with as many characters as possible, as I main Ivysaur and Yoshi. Real shame the way Project M died, Nintendo can fuck off to hell.

Brawl is shit, everyone floats like jigglypuff, air dodges are shit, the balance is shit (metaknight OP as fuck and banned in tourneys) 2 stocks not 4 cuz the game is slow and campy as balls, air dodges are fucked up and ultra forgiving, and dont forget, TRIPPING. The game designers hated the player base for taking the game seriously so much that they added an RNG element to running forcing characters to sometimes stumble and fall to the ground to discourage competitive play. Again, thank god Project M salvaged brawl.
