Daily Mail had moved onto scare stories about other things. The lawyers on both sides of that case said manhunt wasn't linked to it but the daily mail pushed the idea and the victims parents said it was.

Dude Manhunt 2 was garbage.
It looked a damn sight worse, probably 'cause they were going for a more cartooney look.
It's less brutal, I even modded out the filter and it just looks over the top as opposed to the grittiness of the original.
The story is a lot more stupid, doing the 'Fight Club' thing and ending it with a silly dream sequence.
The PC version has such aggressive auto aim that it just snaps to people's heads after you get your hands on a weapon (which doesn't take that long) so you're pretty much a god 1/3 in.
Even before that, when it's pure melee, it still sucks ass because of the stupid minigame you have to play every single time someone walks past you when you're in the shadows, taking away the tension as it pulls you right out of the experience.

The only good thing I have to say about it is that it has good level variety, and I sort of liked the 'government experiment' sideplot, an interesting reason for the violence but still not as engaging as the first game where you're just a dude being fucked with, making it out on your own.
