I really didn't understand the ending very well. I don't get the whole meeting God and space talking to her when she fell through a hole at cave. The dream parts were pretty cool.

Spoiler Tag for a reason
Only played a portion of it. Normally something like this should have been able to easily grab me, but it didn't. The dream segments were really tedious too.

It's been months

I dropped the ball on that one
How come everyone only had one facial expression? It was jarring to see Bea progress as a character only to have her maintain the same resting bitch-face the entire game.

I was pretty blown away by how realistic the writing was. Not happy with how quickly everything was "resolved" though. I get what they were going for, but the ending definitely didn't work for me.
>>387768839
Yeah, they could have gone with the whole "uncertainty of what the future holds" aspect without just putting the story to a full halt once it gets interesting. Like, it sets upthe cult as this big threat and provides exposition towards the whole mystery and then not even five minutes later, just kill them off with no real catharsis or climax. Also, it delves a bit into Mae's mental illness and then just drop it after the cave section.
$20 notgame with cringe writing
has good music but the game is too slow and story was built into something interesting but was shredded with muh right winger boogeyman
>>387765027
Great music for sure.
I enjoyed the game a lot but could see how a lot of people wouldn't and find the writing annoying. I did relate to the story, as I just got home from college 3 months ago and did some things before I left that burned bridges and haven't been able to find work, more to it but this aint my blog. Made the game personal, but do wish I knew going in it was basically a western visual novel. I expected platforming/action. The ending was lackluster but dramatic. I expected at least one member of the town, maybe even Mae's parents to bein the cult and wind up dead/trapped.
How are people having trouble with the dream sequences? They were the only "game" part of the experience and took 5-10 minutes max.

Awful writing in a game that almost completely relies on its storytelling and dialogue is a telltale sign for a shitty game.

I would have liked a nuanced discussion on how millennials have a poor grasp on how the world actually works because of all the entitlement. That both boomers and millennials miss the mark in different ways.
