Fist of Mars is great, its just that the actual combat is tedious when it takes 100 years for all 19 enemy units to take their turns before your 8 units do and the "upgrades/tuning" you can do don't seem to make a whole lot of difference.

But its story is far better than both the PS2 games and even ties back to the anime

This. It really had potential, but it was a perfect storm of terrible design and community.

I played with some bros one night shortly after launch and it was fucking great. 4v4 with both teams agreeing to not interrupt duels was amazing, but last time i tried playing you're lucky if the other guy doesnt just DC if they dont get first hit.

South Park Stick of Truth was pretty fun even for a turn-based RPG and it had a couple funny moments

South Park in general is 80% garbage topical humor but the rest of it is pretty funny

Stuff like the gunplay and AI are bad but it's not like anyone was playing it for that anyway.
I'd still recommend it to people easily despite it's low quality.
