Don't try anything stupid.
INTRUDER ALERT SHUT THE GATE
SHORTS ARE NOW CLOTHING
CHICKEN CHASER YA CHASE CHICKENs
I liked how in Fable 1, you can basically just rob and burn the towns down and these guards couldn't do shit to stop you.
>>387749691
This is how it should be in most RPGs.
It's stupid when a world ending threat can beat you but street guards can.
>>387749691
>lure people to up stairs of houses
>kill them
>guard comes up right after or is down stair
>you have your self a good day
Post yfw YOUR HEALTH IS LOW, DO YOU HAVE ANY POTIONS OR FOOD?
YOUR HEAL IS LOW!
Fable wasfun.
I'M A TWADAHHH
>Get bored and massacre the entire town.
>All these homes come up for sale.
>Buy them all.
>Location repopulates
>win the town over by doing my dances
And that's how I became Albion's #1 real estate agent.
All they needed to save Fable 2 was a "OH NO, LUCIEN ABSORBED THE POWERS OF THE 3 SKILL HEROES AND HE HAS YOUR SAME MOVES, FIGHT HIM".
But noooo they had to ruin it.
>>387749131
JUST GONNA STAND THEAH LOIK A LEMON?
who else masturbated to the sounds of the girls you'd have sex with in fable 2?
>>387749131
>Do you have any potions, or food?
>>387749131
I played through Lost Chapters for the first time the other day, man that was good. The new additions were lovely.
I meanDragon Jackwas pathetic, but the buildup was on point and the new content to playthrough was a nice bonus.
Honestly I thought the "oldest soul" part was gonna be mummy mage, but apparently it had to be some knight fellow instead.
>>387750252
>start new playthrough a few weeks ago
>first thing get the energy shield and a bunch of mana pots
>beat the game without ever losing health
CHIKEN CHASAAHHHH
YOU CHASE CHICKENS?
>make shopkeepers drunk
>push them out of their shops
>???
>profit
>>387753816
Guilty.
>>387755026
Hero, your will energy is low, watch that
ARE YOU JUST GONNA STAND THERE LIKE A LEMON?
>>387758483
>ask them to follow you
>go outside the town to a new area
>get them drunk and leave them behind
>business goes for sale
>buy it out
Problem is that they were too expensive for the returning prices.
>>387760003
I always pushed them to the other side of town and stole everything on sale and sold back to them next morning. What a shame that stealing an augment takes like 30 minutes
>Play Fable 2 years later
>Some asshole single handedly destroyed Oakvale and turned it into a marsh
>>387760623
It was Reaver who did it btw, in case you didn't realize
>>387758483
You could do something similar in Divine Divinity, where some shops have items on display and you can grab it and throw it out of the door, then you just go outside and pick it up. Always made me laugh.
>Deep in the forests of Albion, lived the small town of Oakvale...
In my top 5 games of all time. Every time I think of it I want to play it again. I want to gho back and play Fable 2 as well since I've only played through it once and that was when it came out. Does it hold up?
SHOPS ARE KNOWWWWWWWWWWW OPEN
>>387761824
id like to know that too i've only played fable 1
>>387749131
>Grey, is the prettiest colour
i dont care about suspension of disbelief
>go into guys house at night kill him
>buy the house the next morning
>proceed to do this for the whole city
great mechanic, any other games with stuff like this
>>387764473
ENOUGH
>>387749131
When I first played Fable I was wondering why everyone was constantly talking about the gods. Turned out they were saying guards.
>>387765605
>It is painfully obvious you have no interest in the arts. My lyrical opus is wasted on your philistine ears. Back to the cell with you!
>>387760623
That part got me good.

RIGHT! THERE'S THE LITTLE BASTARD I'M GOING AFTER 'IM!

I wish this game wasn't so easy and Jack wasn't so poorly written
it has that republic commando factor where it would be torn to shreds if it was released today
>farts
>tfw I killed the Guild Masterusing my stick
>>387753008
>yfw you beat the shit outta the kid the entire time
My armor, my helmet, my sword and my shield, gather for me and the path I shall yield
YOU ARE NARTY
>>387761154
Which one was Reaver? Bad guy from the first game?
>>387773918

I didnt see myself enjoying the "old man goes on arctic adventure" story but boy did I.

The beetles are all dead. You can come out of the woods, now.

>>387760623
>>387774745
>>387776821
I fucking hate Reaver. The worst part is that devs no only won't let you hurt him but they force you to work with him, even if it's obvious that he will fuck you in the end. In Fable 2 it wasn't so bad because he appeared briefly at the end and it made sense to collaborate with him, but in Fable 3 it's just stupid. I can execute Logan, who did nothing wrong, but not him because apparently he is the only person in Albion who knows how to make money. Fuck him, put him in the deepest dungeon and let him rot.
>there will never be a rerelease of Fable II & III on PC
I don't care if they were shit, they were fun to me.
>>387778769
Honestly, I feel like 3 would have been better if Fable wasn't in the name, and Real Estate wasn't a thing.
Buying a few houses and waiting an hour lets you have your cake and eat it too, which destroys the point of the game.
>>387749131
anybody lead the shopkeeper away from the shop than steal all the items and sell it back then rinse and repeat?
>tfw fable 3 has a steam port
>>387779029
Not anymore. Game was removed permanently from the store and the only way you could get a key is from Lionhead themselves and they've completely disbanded now. Even if you bought it retail, there's no way to get a new copy unless pirate. It's over
this game made me fail my science project back in 6th grade and get beat to an inch of my life with baseballs by my dad.
good times
>>387753816
You got me. I remember having to do this late at night, and turning the volume on the TV down really low so my parents wouldn't hear it, and furiosly beating it five inches away from the TV. I'd have to stop every 20 seconds and seduce my wife again, yet somehow that never bothered me. Headphones changed my life.
>>387779223
You can get a copy from Lionhead for $20 off Amazon with a Steam activation code inside.
And pirating isn't a big deal since they don't get money anyways, I was just surprised it came to PC.
>My armor, my helmet, my sword and my shield.
>Gather for me, andyou read this in my voice.
>>387779951
Cheeky cunt.
>>387749131
i just started playingthe anniversary edition. i only played the original, and never the lost chapters. i really like how it looks, and that i can use a controller. should i not be doing this?
>>387749691

>>Had a wife in every town

Jesus are you me?
I wonder if they'll ever make a new game that's actually challenging and in which you can die in combat, or if fable is fucked forever now
>>387781201
Fable has never been challenging. The first is the hardest one and even then it's almost impossible to die, what with energy shield, multi-strike/arrow, slow time and even assassin rush. Even without using the magic as long as you keep swinging you'll beat 80% of enemies easily.
>>387781490
For sure but it has gotten more casual over time, which in a way is nice when you want to just comfortably explore the world but at the same time I like the fighting in fable, so I think it would be more fun if the stakes were higher.
