Camera Angles/Fixed Cinematic moments are terrible (Chris's last act comes to mind specifically) and they just weren't well thought out. Gameplay has its moments where I greatly enjoyed, but they're lost in the moments where I felt like scenes were rushed.

Character Design... I was pretty frustrated with how some of the characters just aren't consistent within the game... Chris for an instance, is the obvious one. Helena on the hand is a complete idiot... When you finally get around to meeting her "sister," its almost as if she wasn't present for the rest of Leon's campaign to realize that she's already a lost cause.

also... is it me, or does every "survivor" that the players meet end up dead. Like, if I saw Leon/Helena running towards me and telling me that they were here to help, I would seriously turn and run the other way immediately!

The shooting and gunplay for mercs is still fun, and the campaign feels longer than RE5... but due to camera angles, control bugs, and story-lore... I have to say overall this is a HUGE step back from RE5. I feel like they looked the failures of Operation: Racoons City, but only tooksome of the worse aspects of the game.

In re6 you can just melee every enemy in the game to death, dash and roll around doing crazy stunts. It doesnt have any survival horror elements and is a total other game then 4/5.

What was even up with Chris' campaign? The story that he was depressed and falling apart and failing the team. But how? He was killing monsters. He was chasing after a terrorists that was making monsters. He was doing his job to the best of his ability. But Pierce kept calling him out on how letting vengeance cloud his judgement and shit like that, but exactly how? It's his job to kill monsters and that's what he kept doing, he wasn't really making any mistakes. He even trusted Leon when he had every reason to just pull the trigger. I didn't get the problem.

I think the development time was too short.

If it was a little more well made people would forgive the change in tone to straight up action, but there are just so many little things that just don't come together. Fake Ada was pure evil and wanted to destroy the entire world and was creating monsters everywhere. What exactly is wrong with prioritizing to chase after a terrorist? Chasing after biohazard using terrorists is his job, like how he chased after Albert Wesker and finally killed him. He was right to chase after her. And the BSAA drop like flies constantly, you even see it in Leon's campaign, Chris' supposed 'mistake' of chasing after Ada had nothing to do with that.

If it was just Chris being depressed about all the death around him I'd understand. But Pierce kept lecturing him on his supposed failings and the story presented him like he was in the right. It didn't make sense to me.

I can guarantee that if it was some other thing Capcom made it wouldn't have gotten nearly as much hate as it did, since it's focus was coop action which it actually does pretty well. Either way RE6 sold millions across the board, Capcom said it was a financial success, and mercenaries is undoubtedly fun as hell, so it's not like it's some big loss on Capcoms part. Also if you really want to blame something, blame 4 for giving us ammo drops every 5 seconds in barrels and shit, and this is coming from someone who liked 4. Of course no one will do that though. Funnily enough RE7 went back to pure survival horror as well as got a ton of positive reviews yet didn't do nearly as well.

A similar problem is that "7" has Resident Evil as its name. It could easily be sold as a stand alone, non-RE game if they had taken out the Umbrella logo and Chris Redfield at the end. It was pretty much like Outlast and Amnesia. I really don't see much of a future for the RE franchise after 7, except for RE2 remake.
