They are all good but to varying degrees.
>The cane has a really slow start, you need to level up skill and upgrade it before it becomes worthwhile.

If you get want the cane, pick Cleaver first and then buy the cane and upgrade it.

All weapons are playable, all builds are playable. Some are easier than others but who cares. Just enjoy the fucking game.

Literally the most broken weapon of the game due the crazy amount of damage.

I like the bosses, level design, progression systems, PvP and difficulty curve more.
I also thinks it's less visually repetitive (although some areas are pretty bland), I got really tired of Yharnam in Bloodborne

There's plenty of weapons with crazy stats around PVP.
But I agree for PVE the Chikage is broken more than any other weapon. If you have the build of course.
Also this shit is fucking broken in both PVE and PVP.

Sure, Chikage is great. But it's pretty late in the game and BT is completely useless until you get it. OP probably won't even find it since it's his first run. Arcane/BT are utterly useless for someone who's new to game.

dex weapons are better than str weapons because of the games pacing
pick axe if you plan on using spin2win cheese otherwise get cleaver for speed

For a new player, yes definitely. The weapon does not begin to get good until you get decent gems. New players can rely on axe charged R2 or Saw cleaver r1 mash
