The story is window dressing to justify raids, and even the developers of Destiny knew it was just vague wank when they were making it. Everything looks pretty but it's running at an embarrassing 30 FPS, and the only interesting story related content is in the background or behind paid DLC. The microtransactions and drip feed of overpriced content are insulting and the cherry on the shit sundae that is Destiny.
