Seconding Deadly Premonition, though. It's like five half good games, slapped together to make a terrible mess. There are so many interesting pieces, but none of them fit together.

God Hand is a masterpiece with full moveset customization, fair difficulty, and fun bosses. Only a casual would hate this game. I've played through the game at least a dozen times at this point and I still learn new tech every time.

Pretty much my impression. S1 was great, then S2 started and it went in a totally different direction that I didn't like.
Deadly Premonition makes it clear that there's supernatural stuff going on about three minutes in though, so it doesn't have that problem.

No. The second season of Twin Peaks was unwatchable for lots of it. Even X-Files at its worse was...usually better, save for some episodes here and there and a decent bit of season 9. That being said some aspects of Twin Peaks were better, like the whole overarching plot was more cohesive than X-Files's shit. Haven't seen season three yet of Twin Peaks so idk if it's good or not but I think both shows are great.
