It's spooky fun. Combat is difficult because the animations are long as fuck. Placement of locations and resources is different each playthrough. Bit of resource management and can't be out scavenging at night while you hunker down for spookfest 2k17. It's pretty cool. Story driven. I think it's a bit pricey at 14 bucks but i'm having a good time. I'm waiting for the inevitable "i fucked up and can't win" situation. I'm like day 10 and just made it to second safe house.

How hard does the story and art direction carry this game? I am usually not a fan of games with lots of crafting, but the atmosphere of this looks top notch.

This looks like a literal flash game from Kongregate or Newgrounds. But I will give it a try because I fucking loved those games.

Id say the crafting is about 5% of the game really. It's mostly about the survival aspect. Craft a weapon. It degrades, fix it with resources. Gather resources to fix broken doors and barricade windows for the night time when shit hits the fan. Craft bandages and molotov coctails etc. It's not terraria tier autismo crafting. It's mostly about exploration during the day/crafting shit to kill shit and protect yourself and hunkering down at night and keeping your hideout secure.

Also, when you kill one dog search it's corpse, pick up the meat, put it in your hotbar and throw it towards dogs and they will gather around it. Then you can kill one at a time while the others eat the meat. Been my strategy so far for the dogs.
