Well yeah, that isn't necessarily a bad thing in a modern shooter where pistols are essentially equal in value to automatic rifles aside from having a lower range and less bullets in a magazine. In a game that's pretending to be oldschool the pistol being sufficient to beat the game is a crime.

Thats not even particularly challenging just tedious since Doom 4 is so poorly put together and abusable
if you wanna see some shit watch some Doom tyson speedruns (UV kill everything at least once using only pistol and fists)
