Dicks and Crows

Whats this about dicks and crows?

What is the reason for the trend in stand-alone DLC releases?

Naughty Dog is at least respectable.
Bethesda is clearly doing this just to make money off of suckers. Like releasing Fallout 4 with DLC and actually charging $59.99 for it.

First stand alone DLC I remember buying was inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood back in 2011. It was pretty cool how the developers gave you just the main hub and new story missions. My only gripe was that it wasn't physical, and could've been implemented in the main game. Halo 3: ODST, Grand Theft Auto IV, and Dead Rising 2 probably did it best by giving the buyer the option of buying physical or digital. Even if it's just over-gloried DLC, I like the option, you know?

Sucker Punch would later release another stand alone DLC in the inFAMOUS franchise that came in a physical disc only available in the UK.

>open world trash with enemy outposts and fetch quests in caves instead of a nice, linear experience like uncharted 4

trash

I'm hoping D2's DLC being standalone is due to an updated Void engine, maybe one that is based on idTech 6 instead of godawful 5.

This shit is open world? What the fuck?
>>
>>387696874
yes it has optional enemy outposts and other shit like that
>>
>>387696874
Its open linear like crysis.

Are great setpieces still in? That's what I like the most about Uncharted. They're like an action movie you could play with outlandish as fuck shit happening to Nathan and co.
>>
>>387697434
nope, they dropped the ball with this one. pandering to open world retards.
>>
>>387697663
Doing a really bad job of it. The open world in this game is as pointless as in MGS V. At least Horizon: Zero Dawn did it right.

So it's an Uncharted game without the action sequences and spectacle?
