Beautiful game. The characters act so far out of the purview of regular human behaviour it makes me sick. Pillars of Eternity had the better story.

I liked it, but the fact that you never see Kyros is a piece of shit. I'm sure /v/ will like it if the last DLC these sjws release features Kyros as a loli.

It's like Pillars of Eternity except way worse in every department. The story sounds cool but it heavily railroads you (despite the pretenses of choices and consequences) into the chosen one bullshit. Also, it ends on a cliffhanger and they haven't even finished the game yet, adding in ridiculously expensive DLCs and expansions for mid-game content.

Play Pillars of Eternity instead, if you haven't. That's very clearly the series the A-Team at Obsidian is working on.

If you do play it, ignore the golden nameplate NPCs, they're backer NPCs not done by Obsidian. None of them have any content aside from a cringe wall of text story that some neckbeard wrote. 0 Quests.

Having played Pillars and Tyranny, I preferred Tyranny. Pillars of Eternity is a very dense game, and the party AI kind of sucks. Tyranny has a simpler (though still deep) leveling and combat system, and the AI is better. Despite its length, I enjoyed it a lot.
