Has there ever been a Japanese crowd-funded game that didn't fail completely?

Most crowd-funded games suck as a rule, but at least in the West you've had a couple of success stories. I can't think of a single Japanese one that didn't end up being horribly disappointed, or simply failed to even get a proper release. It seems Japs are even worse at that shit than the West.

This is so getting another delay. The official release is a vague "early 2018". Well guess, what that's coming up fast. The dev team is probably totally overwelmed.

Man 3D and Memereal was a fucking mistake, especially for these tiny studios. They made way more work for themselves than they needed, and the results aren't even good looking. We could have got some nice low resolution 3DS/Windows games years ago by Inti.

For comparison, a one man studio produced Pharoah Rebirth in his SPARE time in 1 year. He would have taken far less time if he didn't have to run his company as well. And it's gonna be ten times the game Bloodstained is.

They were poorly planned and the kickstarters set them up for failure. The plans look great on paper, but not once you investigate it further. So many ports? Inti-Creates being a 2D dev? Iga had to dramatically change plans and hire different devs.
