A source port was released fairly recently. Pretty astounding considering the source code is unreleased. It's in java for whatever reason but it seems to be fine.

As of now, BloodCM is as accurate as it's gonna get as of earlier this year, and it plays/feels a lot quicker due to being ran through Douk/Eduke, and while GDX is SUPPOSED to be the more accurate one, it's still pretty new with some Blood-only Build things missing, and despite all of these borderline-reverse engineered ports, the BloodEX dev still chooses to go with a when-it's-done mindset out of fear for a lawsuit that'll never happen (he's spooked over the literal-who's that noticed PowerslaveEX), only now ever more so because he got asspained over people having the nerve to share demo builds due to the fact he's terrible at anything other than sparse cocktease updates

If you have no 90's nostalgia for a "purist" Blood run, then there's nothing wrong with CM, and it comes with support for the Expansion. The usual people who scream about the sanctity of Blood will probably do just that over the mention of CM, but they do so over a build of CM that hasn't been recent ever since earlier this year

I haven't noticed anything resembling fucked physics or enemy fuckery since v12, and in case you haven't realized, OP wants to play it NOW without setting up that Dosbox AIO that doesn't play nearly as good as people believe. Until Kaiser shakes the imaginary lawyers monitoring his page and releases something, BloodEX doesn't exist, and probably won't for another year or two considering the pace of updates, and CM is as good as it gets if you just want an Eduke solution

The fact people are praising that goddamn Java thing ITT shows just how clueless people are when it comes to the state of modern Blood

The fact that you haven't noticed the problem with the physics disqualifies you from even talking about Blood, even jumping is fucked on a basic level since the game slows down your movement after your fall which does not happen in the original game, and does not happen in GDX. In fact a majority of the bounciness that defines Blood's movement is nowhere to be found in BloodCM, but works perfectly fine in GDX

A recreation written in java using bits of the old leaked (alpha) version of the source code, everything from enemy behaviour to the weapons is empirical and quite inaccurate

Made by the PowerslaveEX and Doom64EX dev, the most promising project, the guy is literally reverse engineering the entire game, which takes a shitload of time but makes it the most accurate recreation of the game


If you want the real deal, just grab the last SVN of Dosbox, get bmouse(patch to fix mouse aiming) and play the original game
