Vanilla NG3 is awful; on-par with From's Ninja Blade in terms of shitty action games. RE fixes a lot of the problems, but is still a big step down from 1 and 2.

Biggest reason is the constantly dodging and blocking enemies with no mechanic at your disposal to offset it. It just does not feel good to play at all. Of course they do have steel on bone, however, a completely worthless, unfun mechanic that seems to only be worthwhile because it makes the mediocre gameplay end faster. Seriously the game is an abortion.

I played a demo of it a while back. It was laughably fucking easy in comparison with 1, or maybe 1 just isn't as difficult as I remember it being. I was way more excited by seeing Ryu (seemingly) randomly crop up in Warriors Orochi 3, my very own personal Snake in Smash reveal, I was hollering like a fucking ape when his intro cutscene happened
