If you're solely interested about the story and not the gameplay or only care about the person playing, you'd be right.

However, believe it or not, people enjoy experiencing it for themselves instead of watching someone else play their game for them. Playing the game blindly instead of watching a youtuber play it is much more rewarding emotionally, and is significantly more enthusing than in contrast to just watching some generic "HEY EVERYBODY MY NAME'S" youtuber with an obnoxious voice play though it.

I agree with you only for rythm games. But see i mostly play games that have you exploring a 3d space and most lets palyers are not wiling to look at every nook and cranny of a level like i would so they lose my attention there. Even for a game like INSIDE, which has you basically moving from laft to right the entire time I would rather play first then watch after. The game is simple but sometimes i like to test to see what i can grab onto and test all the animations that were put into the character.
