The powerlevels are worse than dragon ball super:

The protagonist balance is a joke:

The Armed and MixiMax shots are just regular shots but with special circumstances behind them.

But yeah, as someone who only played the games, all the super mode stuff in Go feels like they didn't know where to seriously take the game mechanics past where they were in IE3, so they went for super modes. I kinda like that cheesy shit though, and in Chrono Stone it was lovely how hard you could break the game with them and how if you don't bother with many Extra Route Matches you pretty much have to make full use of Avatars, Armed, and MixiMax for the final string of story matches. Galaxy didn't give that sort of satisfaction, with how Souls worked on a literal fucking roulette, and the first Go was just a balancing nightmare. Anyone who didn't have a Avatar was pretty much useless in it, even your best normal skills were useless against even a standard dribble or block from a Avatar user, though that went both ways. It had some cool gimmick pitches though, like the pinball table.

Shonen-Fighting Soccer with boys, sometimes girl as well but mostly boys. The Endou Trilogy is great, Go starts off promising but then jumps the shark with Time Travel and going into SPACEEEEE!

Over the top soccer RPG where hot-blooded sweat and tears overcome all. 1000 potential party members in the first of each trilogy, 1500 in the second, 2000 in the finals. Pretty extensive post-game content in all but the very first game.

First trilogy is a bit more down to earth, be the best in the country, save the world country tour, be the best in the world. Second trilogy is crazier, first it's fairly simple with revolutionize the corrupt school soccer circuit, but then it does time travel to save soccer from future terrorists, and finally be the best in the worl-nah we're fucking with you go into space for an intergalactic tournament to decide the fate of the universe.

The first trilogy is all numbered. Inazuma Eleven, Inazuma Eleven 2, Inazuma Eleven 3. There's a collection on 3DS, but only in Japan. If you need the games in English, the first two were released on DS and the third on 3DS in Europe. The second and third games have multiple versions Pokemon style, but it isn't really important besides that for IE3 you should go for Team Ogre since it came out later than the other two and has more stuff.

The sequel trilogy is Inazuma Eleven Go, the first is just that in Light and Shadow versions. The sequel is Inazuma Eleven Go Chrono Stones. Both games got localized in Europe. The final game, Go Galaxy, never got localized, but it's pretty import friendly especially if you're already familiar with the first two Go games. All of these are on the 3DS.

Personally, if you don't plan to play them all, I think the main "adventures" are best in IE2 and Chrono Stones, but if you just want sheer content and the most polish go for IE3 and Galaxy.
