Personally I think these kind of sequels are actually good. Flawed games with potential that are fixed in a sequel are far better than cramming out sequels for games that neither needs it or would just be a rehash.

That's because investors/publishers want good scores since it would help their game sell. But if a game sells well regardless of the score they don't care.

Why do you think companies like EA push out unfinished games? Because their analysts make the call that the game will make enough money in the current state to earn its money back. They do this because they think that the game wouldn't sell much better if they invested more time and money on it.
All these people are about are profits. Devs want to make good games, publishers wants money.

It will probably get over 80 on Open/Metcritic.
I mean the first game was just painfully mediocre, nothing really flat out terrible about it. So long as they improve upon it it should be at least solid now with 2.
