How did LeBlanc do that by the way? Shinra's sphere grid only lets you use the abilities of the person that recorded it in addition to changing your clothes. But LeBlanc turned into Yuna. And that wasn't even Yuna's sphere, it was Lenne's. So how was that intro possible?

Yes this was Barrett's mindset in the beginning of 7. And then at the end Cait Sith/ Reeve called him out on his bullshit. How blames all his problems on Shinra. How he has no right to go wagging his finger at Shinra when he goes blowing up reactors and people, killing the innocent people he proclaimed to save. And Barrett had nothing to say and in the end he had no choice but to admit that he was wrong in how he went about fighting Shinra.

Barret should have focused on raising his daughter. Avalanche had no right doing what they did. The best part is the game actually acknowledges this point, if it was trash like FF8 it would completely ignore it like half the idiotic characters and series of plotholes it does

That's what I like about Barrett and 7. Barrett is a short sighted fool but the game acknowledges that he's a shortsighted fool. And Barrett tries to become better through the course of the game even if he never takes over as leader. That part with Dyne is more interesting than all of FF8 because at the end of the day you got two people who seen some shit. But the only reason why Barrett was able to move on and Dyne wasn't was because Barrett had Marlene to live for. Even if Barrett acknowledges that his hands are just as bloodstained as Dyne and he probably doesn't deserve her.

I just replayed FF7 this year and that part was amazing. Barret was told to go fuck off with his domestic terrorism and that Reeves lost friends and coworkers to AVALANCHE. The citizens caught in between hia guerilla warfare, all dead. It was so good and surreal verbal bitch slap.

You could see Barret's brain come to a halt. I laughed and asked Vincent to drink coffee with me. Barret was quiet for the rest of that story arc, Reeves got inside his head. Barret blown the fuck out.
