I loved Shadow too. The game has tons of replay value.

As for the story, yeah, its enjoyable ironically, like a bad b-movie. But it can be funny. I think SA2 has a more cringier story. Shadow is just a sequel to it.

Really, with games like Shadow and Sonic 06's slippery controls its not too difficult to keep up with them. I think Heroes suffers worse because there bottomless pits in a lot of them.

It's pretty sad that there are debatably worse Sonic games than Sonic 06. That shit is bottom of the fucking barrel.

Also Sm64's camera and movement are just as bad (though SM64's movement is overly sluggish and has too much traction, vs Sa2's movement being overly reactive and has too little traction) and nobody cares about it

Chronicles was worse than Shadow, and Shadow is closer to mediocre than people give it credit for. It really wasn't that much worse than Heroes, it just had some really cringeworthy but ultimately harmless additions like the addition of guns and cursing.
