Fallout, Baulder's Gate, Realmz, God of Thunder, Dune 2, Command and Conquer, Quake, Heroes of Might and Magic 3.

Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic is the best TBS ever made imo.

Also Xcom or virtually any of its derivatives.

First game is good, but its not as balanced as SM imo. Imo it has the best factions and more interesting units, shadowmemes and lightning elfs are shit tbqh.

Shadow Magic takes what is essentially the same game, but packs it to the GILLS with more content, almost all of which you can toggle on/off to suit your preferences.

It's really the best TBS I've played, runs on toasters, and looks lovely. It's also fairly complex while remaining accessible and easy to learn.
