Watch Gundam thunderbolt: December sky - it's only hour long and almost completely self contained. It's also quite recent.

HG kit are best for begginers as they are small, cheap and easy to put together. You need only something to cut the pieces out of their sprues. They don't require glue. Best to buy one that depicts a suit you like first or check out some reviews online.

There's a few beginner kits that you can track down that come with a High Grade model and a panel lining marker that you might want to track down.

I recommend heading to a hobby store like Hobby Lobby and picking up a pair of sprue cutters, an exacto knife, and some high grit modeling sand paper. The kind I get comes with something like 8 different grits ranging from 320-12000.

I'm looking forward to Versus. I couldn't sell my friends on the import cost of EXVSFB so I'll take any form of the VS series I can get localized.

And while this is extremely selfish of me, the roster cuts are basically meaningless because I only ever played two suits that were cut (Reborns, Spiegel). Most of my favourites still made it, and I'm looking forward to the remixed gameplay and new suits.

the prevalence of very similar grunts. I am okay with Rezel stuff, since it plays like Noir and Zaku Warrior combined, but the 15 flavors of GM that are just machine gun or beam rifle with bazooka is just wasted slots and effort of the game developers.

Puramo. Choose a model on Amazon that has 4 1/2 to 5 stars rating with more than 20 reviews. Buy those little snipper sheers so you can cut the pieces nicely and avoid nubs. You might also look into a filing kit to file off any nubs, but this takes some practice.
