Is Empire at War actually that good? I love RTS games and I love Star Wars but I've never touched that game for some reason. What kind of RTS is it? Is it like C&C?

Space combat is pretty good
Land battles are mostly flooding enemy in corpses
You build buildings and units on galaxy view and them throw them around galaxy. Expansion pack throws third completely OP but fun pirate like faction. Overall decent game with few very good mods.

I played through all of the class stories and expansions and the game is fucking terrible. Not just the animations but the story too. Revan is now a huge schizophrenic pussy, Kreia was The Empra's lover and is now tied up in Darth Fat fuck's basement used as a crystal ball, the fucking exile is Revan's LOVER. But the worst is the dialouge wheel that never write what you are actually going to say often they are completly different.
