Buy a PS2 in good condition (certain semi-underground tech masters can fix laser/tray in old consoles, but don't rely on that) and the games (try Greatest Hits, those often have patches for bugs).

Or emulate, that shit is almost perfect now (save for select titles). Make sure to not use a widescreen hack, Sly games often hide shit to the left/right of the camera, stuff you are not meant to see (awkwardness will ensue).

Yeah I've dealt with some nasty shit. Just off the top of my head I can remember:
