>Level design is fucking garbage. Casino Night Act 1 doesn't even have fucking enemies, just Casino gimmicks. I don't even think there's a way to die on this level, just waste your fucking time and brain cells. Act 2 has like 3 enemies and EVEN WORSE CASINO GIMMICKS. Mushroom Hill has mushrooms with fucking wonky-ass hitboxes and barely bounce you high enough to reach where you need to be. Generally speaking, levels are just boring and empty with the occasional splash of shitty gimmick.
>Classic Sonic sucks. I think they made this game to make Modern Sonic look better. They fucked up his physics, nothing feels right. His levels are obviously worse. It feels like the team never played a classic game and just thought "haha this fucker looks gay let's make his levels lame and slow". Not to say the level design in modern stages is actually good. It's not.

>The special stages appear right after you beat a zone with no effort involved. They're easy as fuck too. It's just the Sonic 2 half pipe with boosting and you have to collect spheres to keep boosting.
This is the worst game I've ever played. I did not feel a single tinge of joy while playing this shit.

You forgot the part where the act 1s of the classic era stages are ripped straight from the Genesis games, to the point of keeping the check point before the (now non-existent) act 1 boss
Also, the Special Stages are technically based on Sonic Heroes (and actually control much better than that game).
