Beetle Tendency was and the Josefumi's and Kir8's story were more awe-inspiring to me, even if the stakes were a lot lower. I'd probably say the same of the whole final sequence of SBR. Made in Heaven is great too, though, it could have gripped me more if not for the fact that I wasn't extremely engaged with SO to begin with because each arc was very hit or miss.
