I've been wanting to build a pc for a long time but every time I put something together in pcpartpicker I can't justify the cost. Everything is available for consoles which I already own. I've just completely given up on the idea of pc building with the gpu price spike recently.

I have a $100 netbook and no, it doesn't run 2d indie games that well, the only games that run flawlessly are Shovel Knight and Undertale, everything else that is "playable" is either slow, hangs, drops fps, but most are unplayable.

On the other hand, i fell for the $350-450 console killer budget pc meme, and I have to say it holds up decently.
Sure i can't run the most recent games at max settings 60fps, but lowering the settings and/or locking the framerate at 30fps where it's doable with no gameplay consequences(not on fps games and others which require precise input timing ofc), it can run pretty much everything i throw at it

I bought my case for $25 and i have no issues, it's solid enough and air flow is decent, more than enough to keep temps low, the only thing it lacks is being cool and nice to look at, but i dont give a fuck a bout that as long as it works
