Meant "create your own difficulty."

Forget true storms, go with NAC (natural and atmospheric commonwealth). It has way better storm effects, plus makes nights darker. It also adds two new rad storms, one causes momentary time dilation whenever you see lightning flashes. NAC also gives you a reason to use sunglasses since it makes bright sunny days really bright. I would just advise that you turn off the fake interior light dimming effect because it makes even the brightest lit room look like you're suffering from cataracts at night.

There really aren't any. They've sunk so low there's not much mods can do this time around. Dustbowl was the only one that I found all that interesting, you might like it if you're a mad max fan.

On a real note what mods make this game not run like trash on an amd r9 390 because 30fps here

It's not really a mod but console command yourself every crafting skill and the materials you want.

Seriously, there's four of five skills just for crafting.
