I played both, 2 is more interesting for replay because you have 2 people with different powers to choose from, but both of the games are great. Cool victorian steampunk atmosphere and playing the game total stealth on high difficulty for a good challenge

I recently replayed 1 and realized I mightve judged 2 too hard. Its not as good but still a decent sequel. I might actually pick up the DLC since my butthurt cooled down

I never understood why some people said DH2 was much weaker than the first one (if it's about optimization issues then that's fair).

I played them back to back last year and I thought the sequel was a big improvement when it came to gameplay, level design and replayability. A lot more options for non-lethal playthroughs which was my major gripe with the first one. Yeah the story was pretty shit, but I didn't like the story in the first one either. The atmosphere was still great and the game was very immersive even with the meh writing.

Great games. I love them. The Daud DLC is also pretty great. Hopefully Death of the Outsider will be good too. I feel like this series is about to die, though, 2 sold like shit.

1 is based. 2nd lost its direction by adding in Emily as a PC for muh feminsismsksm points

I think corvo kind of passing on the torch and emily having to fix things herself was a lot more interesting than just dishonoured 1's plot happening again

I loved Prey, but I still never got into it as much as the DH games. I replay DH a lot but only did 2 playthroughs of Prey.

I think it's because it's more tedious and you have to explore a lot every time if you want to have resources and amno. With Dishonored I can just fire up a mission and fuck around with the powers and gadgets to relax. I do think Prey is in many ways a better game than Dishonored. Much more challenging, better story and soundtrack and the level design of Talos I is really ambitious.

I thought both were very fun, I was extremely reluctant to get them as I don't like stealth games that much but I heard they were good, and I'm really glad I got them, the story was great, the voice acting was good, the characters, the level design especially

Absolutely terrible combat on all difficulties rendering 99% of the abilities/upgrades next to worthless. Why I enjoyed the setting and the idea that was presented I felt Prey was kind of a lukewarm experience gameplay wise. "Multiple solutions" essentially boiled down to "use a power" or "shoot it" or "hack it". Which while they are different, didn't feel particularly ingenious.

2 should have never happened. it completely retroactively destroys any ending you got in 1.
they didn't even bother trying to make the game look for a Dishonored 1 save file and maybe adjust the game accordingly, nope, they decide that 'ending x' was official canon and fuck whatever other ending you got. Same goes for whether you choose Corvo and Emily, same exact game, same lines, same everything, only occasionally someone refers to you by name.
