Pretty much. It had less choices than Heavy Rain, and even the ones you got barely changed shit. Not only that, even with the story going full on paranormal from the get go instead of making it questionable like in Fahrenheit or clearly removed as in Heavy Rain, Beyond somehow manages to not at all be that interesting with its supernatural shit.

I'm hoping this at least worth a few plays, though I know after Heavy Rain not to get my hopes on Davy's games.

David Cage games make me mad because they sometimes have really good ideas that are just buried under this French hack's bullshit. This could be a fun game but it's almost always ruined because he forces things to be like a movie instead because that's what he actually wants to make.
The whole Jodie story being disconnected makes the emotional moments fall flat because you go from dingy rape bar to underwater Asian ghost base, it's stupid just have a story that goes forward it's fine not to do dumb shit.
