Post the last character you played that uses a scythe.
Dat boi
Can't find a pic with him with a scythe, but that's the weapon I chose for him in my latest run. Big Banga was worth it.

Is the necro expansion worth it at all? Is he in any way similar to the D2 necro or is he more like the witch doctor?

Of course it was. Scythes are a decent skill set, but overshadowed by the sheer utility of Axes. Axes do almost everything except multi-strikes and party-wide damage (then they'd just be superior versions of spears/lances at that point). Hell, I fucking mained axes in DQ9 just because of how great they were in 8. I hate how Typhoesuuesueusus whatever Maul is so worthless though. Most monsters aren't even "beast" type in 8 and the damage is merely only as good as paralax even with the beast-multiplier.

It's just one character, no other new content

Actually someone else bought it and the UE edition for me. So yes, someone paid a ridiculous amount for it, but not me. I thought it'd be rude not to at least play it.

As a former D2 Necro-man, I'm actually really enjoying it. They cut a lot of time consuming shit - for example, you have a permanent squad of skeletons instead of summoning them one at a time and there's some more interesting bone spells than stuff like Bone Wall, like the ability to tear enemies' bones out and use it as armour. However, it's probably not worth the money if you've already played the game as a different class.
