The original way to play it on PC was using MidWay's online servers with ads inbetween each level. But it doesn't work anymore since they got taken offline in 2009.

I just went the console route, I have both for the Xbox.

Great game, I wish they would have made a third, the documentaries inside the games themselves and the story of why the monsters were the way they were also made the gsme that much more atmospheric and great.
