I find using the joycons in docked mode to be awkward, but handheld mode is fine. I assume using a pro controller would be fine, too, but I don't have one.

The UI also seems to be just ripped straight out of the 3DS game without any consideration to touch it up to look better on a bigger screen, so that's disappointing.
