I must be a total nincompoop then, cause I could not for the life of me finish this game, hell I couldn't even make it to the first boss, the gameplay in this game is just way too boring, I even tried it on easy just to see the story, but it was still just a chore for me.

Like I said, the game wasn't hard, just, boring, I tried to play it like 4-5 times, and I heard the story is one of the best this gen, yet the gameplay is just, not fun for me. And for someone who the gameplay is the top most important part of a game, that is a problem. Got any solutions on how to make the game not boring?

Well if you didn't make it past the first boss, you still haven't unlocked the other weapon types like Fist and Lance, you probably have no other Pod Skill other than laser, let alone upgraded them to see their variations, and there's still a shit ton of different enemies you haven't encountered. I'll admit, the starting weaponset is pretty boring but you'll eventually unlock a ton of chips and skills that'll spice things up for you. You'll also play as 9s which is admittedly kind of boring, but then you'll play as A2 which is a step beyond 2B levels of cuhrazee. Also, somethings that I didn't immediately get right off the bat:

>jump and then immediately press the light attack button to launch enemies manually

>hold X and LR (I believe) to propel yourself at enemies using POD.

Just play a little longer dude. There's some good bossbattles and encounters waiting for you.

It's okay not to enjoy the game, it has flaws.
But I honestly can't see why you couldn't get to the first boss, do you judge every game on less than 30 minutes of gameplay.

Nope, it was a first actually, even I was amazed at how bored I became with it. I usually just power through like 3-4 hours of a game and see if I start to enjoy myself or not.

oh yeah and also when fully upgraded weapons will have new qualities and aesthetic changes. Like the Emil head gauntlets will talk and the Type 40 blade will get this blue electric glow which makes it stronger and the Engine blade will emulate "warping" like in XV.

You can experiment a lot with chips and pod skills. The only downside is that the difficulty is fucked and I think enemies don't scale with you past level 60, so at some point everything will be a breeze for you. I wish they'd patch it.

HD collection is fine. You can skip 2, but you best not be skipping the classic though m8. Best overall game in the series, the combat just doesn't revolve around pin-needling foes to death so it gets underplayed.

Bland, floaty combat, enemies have little health until DMD, guns overpowered, terrible bosses(a few where you can use pistols to damage them), long underwater levels. I could go on, but if you're that curious go ahead and try it for yourself and see. OST is great though.
