All of those are terrible

What do you call a beat 'em up in Japan?

>tfw yanks call shooty whilst running on your booties amusements "run 'n' guns"

Say "metroidvanias" out loud.
Based Nippon confirmed 3DPD """"platformers"""" unworthy of the title.

Belt scroller action.
(It's literally "berutosukurōruakushon", as they use English Loan words for their gaming terminology since it was Americans who introduced them to gaming originally).

Who the hell says metroidvania lmao
>America

Exploration and combat from the direct perspective of the playable character game

That genre in general is stupid, but horizontal scrolling exploration action game is like those stupid JAVs that just use the blurb of their video as the title.

They actually call it "First Person Shooter" as well. Most of their game terminology are English, and only a few genre names differ.

What's the Japanese word for joke?
>>387418034
>since it was Americans who introduced them to gaming originally
Reason is bullshit, and you can't really call it a loan word because the west invented vidya. It's original Japglish and does't count as a loan word simply because no one in Anglosphere used those word before.
They're pretty good at coming up with random English-sounding words actually.
