Also Nintendo's eshop pricing has always been archaic. But honestly if I was the only video game company on earth remaining who's game didn't depreciate to half the value in 6 months i'd be pretty cautious about discounting games too. Just buy the physical games used or discounted (Pretty much everything but the zeldas and low production shit like Game and Wario should be significantly down in price). A ton of companies can't make as good of games anymore because they have to rely on week 1 sales and a few resurgences of sales when they reach certain discount threshholds, whereas Nintendo software rakes in money for a decade so they can make games like Splatoon or BOTW.

Damn shame digital WiiU games haven't been cut down to 40 or something to throw a bone to the owners.
