I am mildly interested in picking up and playing the original Spellforce games. Been put off by how long the game seems to be though. Maybe this will spur me to pull the trigger and play it.

Played the first one (with the two expansions) but still indecisive about the second. Is it really worth playing? Looks more like a downgrade to me.

It's almost the same game anon, gameplay barely changed, just different story and timeline. It's as amazing as the first one honestly, I don't think touching addons is a good idea though, just play the original Spellforce 2.

You know from that screenshot it looks like it's probably right up my alley but from that trailer I could not even tell you if that game is an RTS, an FPS, or actually just ten hours of walking down a hallway with flashback QTE's while your character exposits recent history until he starts to run out of big, exciting things and just sort of trails off into gossip.

Why do they even make these for videogames? This is like running an ad for cheap, used televisions on television.

That's more like it, fuck yes, this looks great already. I need it. Despite the fact that it seems to have fuck all to do with a man walking down a hallway. Man and I was really geared up for that hallplay too after that cinematic trailer. Where can I leave feedback with the devs about how disappointed I am about the lack of hallways that were promised by the trailer?

Spellforce: The Order of Dawn is one of the best games that exist, it's like the LotR Trilogy of Videogames
so yeah I do care, but it looks like this doesn't have much to do with the first two games storywise, just some names being thrown around
which fucking sucks since the convocation wars would be a pretty good setting for a prequel game

well the second one isn't as good, story and gameplay wise, but still a solid game.
They toned down the RTS apsects and I don't even know if it is still possible to solo every map with your hero alone like in the original game

The first expansion dragon wars I think it was called is also good, the other expacs were made by different devs and suck, really suck
