Wakka is fine, and there are others that are fine too, but it's how they piece it all together. You can see it in all the games after 9. Just the way the dialogue is written makes people come off weird/autistic/odd. People just don't talk that way in English. I always thought it was less noticable in the text based ones. Still noticable, but not nearly as much.
