Actually, had any of you been paying attention you would have heard about the internal crackdown on paid reviews. A few "important" game journalists were forced to give 9 and 10s to games they didn't like it even play, and they complained. However, stopping giving high scores takes away all their money, so they invented a devious system. The first digit is the paid score, and the second digit is the actual score. So a 9.7, that's really a 7/10. You just ignore the first digit. Who knew they had such brain.
