Pretty fun though like most Mario games the initial release price is a bit steep for what you get. Got it free through a Nintendo promotion and in retrospect could've seen myself shelling out $20-25 for it, but definitely not $40. Not a lot of reason to go back through it again though after you get all the stars and golden flagpoles as both bros though.

I used to get pirate's fatigue back in the PSX days. I hardly ever finished any of the games I pirated. You'll just end up trying everything for 5 minutes before moving on. It's one of the reasons why I stopped doing it.

this shit is infuriating - I bought a 3ds to play Monster Hunter with friends and I end up hitting one of them accidentally at least once every couple hours, resetting the game. Don't even get me started on what would have been a shit-tier screen 5 years ago, coupled with an even shittier screen. Then there's the ergonomics of the thing. Other than the Pro controllers Nintys ergonomics are always awful. Either made for people with hands half my size or made for people with a 3rd arm.

But the games are good at least. I just wish Ninty made half decent systems to make playing them less of a pain.

Does the Switch have an activity log like the 3DS? It's too bad that the Wii U one was worse.

Planet Robobot is probably tied with 64 for being my favorite Kirby game. I'm a mech fag, so I'm biased, but the Robobot armor was a such a high step up from the sluggish pace of hypernova sections in Triple Deluxe.
I haven't played the other 3, but I got Rhythm Thief as part of a Humble Bundle. I'll get to it eventually.

People say that but it's not really as useful as you'd think.

It mostly equates to very slightly shorter loading times and maybe less extreme framedrops. Not like it makes games run at a full 60fps. Some games are even unstable and crash with the hack enabled.

Used to play the everloving shit out of it.

That being said its the best cost-effective console out there. Good build quality, sturdy, cheap, has a good library with lots of good shit to play, has CFW so emulation and free vidya.

Its a great portable gaming device, with an actually portable size unlike the Switch, which just makes me miss the PSP.

It's playable and mechanically it's the best version of MGS3. Touch controls in menu, available 3rd person view while aiming. But they forced 20 FPS lock onto it (even on motherfucking New 3DS) so it's really mediocre.

I play a lot on my 3ds, although I have been playing a lot of standard ds games on it recently.

It's playable and if you're a real fan of it - it's really good. Bad fps sometimes and especially in cutscenes, but overall it's damn good and has more shit(because of PW gameplay things)

I sold mine. Even with a hacked one, the library is pretty lackluster.

Can you hack the New 2DS XL?

Just got a R4 SDHC. Couldn't find the firmware online so I loaded it with the ysmenu packaged with TWLoader and it runs like a charm. Finally got around to playing Chrono Trigger DS it's actually as good as people say it is

On the 3DS side of things, I just beat Blaster Master Zero (great), am working my way through Yoshi's Woolly World (fun but the collectables are annoying) and I just started Sun (too many cutscenes and tutorials - kind of boring even though I've never touched a pokemon game before)

3D Land is great because it's the only 3D platformer in existence where you can have proper depth perception which makes it a joy to play.
I only ever tried a harmoknight demo and it seemed terrible. Gamefreak can't code and the 3DS exposed them as hacks.
Sakura Samurai is one of the best Nintendo made eshop titles. It's like punchout but in 3D and with a sword in fuedal japan. Good fun, pretty hard if you go for combos.
Rhythm Thief would be great if not for the dogshit bootlegged Layton overworld the game didn't need or benefit from.
Robobot is one of the best games on the console easily and probably the last great game that the console has seen.

Right now I'm on a Dragon Quest binge, going to play all the games in order and I can do it on my 3DS which is great. I did 1 but I'm holding off on 2/3 since they are all getting 3DS ports pretty soon.

Its cute. Its a decent little game that has some annoyances that if it gets a sequel i can imagine it would be fixed. its certainly not great though. A lot of shit in the game is just kind of repetitive and combat is pretty simple.

Do that, and if you are taking suggestions:
- Play the mobile version of 4, since the ds version cut out the party chat
- For DQV, the DS version is pretty good, fags will say the PS2 is better but just no.
- Then VI, VII and VIII and IX are all good for the 3ds.
