So folks I recently replayed Fable:TLC and Jade empire and enjoyed my first playthrough of Fable 3 (it is shit but still a guilty pleasure of mine.
So now Id like to hear about some of these types of games you guys enjoy.
I tried to replay jade empire but it won't run on my pc. The fps is good but for whatever the fuck reason it's like playing a slideshow.
Never have I been so lied to by the fps meter.

it's locked at 30 frames on the PC version.

Well that explains that. But not why the fps meter was somewhere in the hundreds.
Nights of Azure. In all honesty the action RPG mechanics are bland as can be but it still hits all the expected modern Gust checkboxes - good music, good artstyle, cute anime girls with yuri undertones (though in this game's case it's more overtones). I dunno, I like it. Wouldn't blame someone at all for not feeling it, though.

I had the same issue and what I did was force a fps limit through catalyst, you could also try dissabelling vsync.

I have very low standards for rpgs so thx for the rec man.

I was about to say this game wasn't mediocre but then I realized it kind of was
Maybe not mediocre, just completely and utterly forgettable

You're not alone anon I also enjoyed Fable 3, that twist near the halfway point was pretty neat even though you could still pay for everything out of pocket and still save everyone, that was kinda disappointing, they should've made you compromise more or something
As to other RPGs you may enjoy try the stuff made by spiders like Of Orcs and Men, Mars War Logs and Bound by Flame, gotta warn you though they're all pretty janky, the last one I mentioned is the weakest by far imo too and the conclusion is very disappointing as if they ran out of budget (which probably was the case all things considered) but at least the soundtrack is good

>literally 1 if not 2 threads per day discussing the good and bad and best moments and fixes for more than a decade now
>underrated

Yeah ive been following them for a while now and Id argue that just nned to replace there level designers because if I have to backtrack the same enviroment 50 fucking times ala witcher 2 I might snap.

These games are great but there is a reason this type of game design is being forgotten thus underrated
>>387390363
It's kinda sad that they usually have some great ideas / concepts in their games but they never seem to get it right or execute it correctly
>>387390076
It is slightly above average at best but definitely underrated
I fucking loved it

That is the folly of experimental game design like black and white but ultimately Im glad that there seems to be a ressurgence of middle market titles.
