He was always Eggman in japan, Robotnik was a localization only name. When the first full 3D sonic game, Adventure, came out they decided to normalize his name across all regions into Eggman.
However, I think his full name is now Doctor Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, with the Eggman being a nickname he kinda embraced or a sort of middle name,

The Oil Ocean 1 boss just floats there for way too long doing nothing. That one is probably the weakest. Overall though these bosses are more interesting than in the other classic games.

It's literally just a reskin of PuyoPuyo 1

Which means you can't even return garbage being sent to you, and the game becomes, who can make a 5 chain first. It wasn't until Tsu, where All Clear and returning garbage was introduced and pretty much all Puyo puyo games use those rules. As well as whatever gimmick modes they come up with to sell the same game over and over.

Sucks for Chaos Emeralds, but FUCKING CHEEKY AND GREAT otherwise. Not so much a fan of the offscreen attacking, but that's plentiful in this game, unfortunately.
